HINGHAM, MA., September 5, 2015 – The Journal of Vascular Access, a peer-reviewed scientific journal of original manuscripts dealing with clinical and laboratory investigations in the field of vascular access, published an article titled Hemodialysis catheter tip design: observations on fluid flow and recirculation. Authored by Dr. Thomas Vesely, et al., and supported by Phase One Medical, this study concluded that when blood lines were reversed, symmetrical and step-tip designs had more stable fluid patterns, less tip movement and lower recirculation rates when compared to split-tip designs.
